2. Gas Pipeline Specifications
According to the "Urban Gas Design Code" (GB 50028-2020) and relevant industry standards:
Gas pipeline materials must possess corrosion resistance, sealing properties, and long-term stability.
Recommended materials include:
Polyethylene pipe (PE pipe): Corrosion-resistant and flexible, commonly used for medium- and low-pressure gas pipelines.
Seamless steel pipe/galvanized steel pipe (must meet anti-corrosion requirements): Used in some high-pressure applications, but requires an anti-corrosion coating (such as epoxy resin).
Stainless steel pipe: Suitable for use in particularly corrosive environments (such as coastal areas).
Ordinary black iron pipe is prohibited: It lacks corrosion protection and does not meet the long-term safe operation requirements of gas pipelines.
